Yes, well. Just returned after being on the North Island of New Zealand for just over a week. Incredibly friendly people, very laid back, and awesome food. Found myself in the middle of Aukland during the Rugby Sevens games. Without exaggeration 4 in 6 people across the city were in fancy dress for 3 days straight. All ages. Gay, straight, single, attached and unattached to a significant other. The city was one huge party. Not my scene at all, but I couldn't help but be immersed and swept along. It even moved me to start taking photos of people on the streets - something I've never had the courage to do before. I'll have to get out more often

and that was a very long time ago, though it's as fresh as yesterday. I find that time has little to do with me these days. I embarrass my children sometimes - I'm freer to be a child than they permit themselves. I have nothing to prove now, except to myself. And there's so much fun to be had in life! Taken as a teenager...  this is referring to the photos I took as a teenager. From the age of 15, I have rarely not had a camera within arm's reach. I used to bulk load my film, process and print it myself. I had the most understanding parents. Dad helped build a darkroom in the house and mum put up with all the foul smells it emitted. Looking

Just a few pics in colour...from comments, I have the feeling that some people think that I work only in "mono."  Today, I went to a beach I've never been to before and this is some of what I saw... in colour! I'm a bit amazed at the responses I've had so far. Thanks folks. If I'm not responding quickly or using the right things, I'll get better. Still on my L plates here.
